Quotations are provided free of charge and are based on a site visit and the information available to us at the time. Unless stated otherwise, a quotation is valid for 30 days and does not become binding until confirmed by us in writing.

Where the scope of works, site conditions or materials differ from those assumed, we reserve the right to revise the quotation, having discussed and agreed any changes with you.

A deposit of up to 50% may be required to secure your start date and cover initial materials. Start dates are subject to availability and may be affected by weather, material supply or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, in which case we will keep you informed.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance for completed works is due on receipt of our invoice. Our accepted payment method is bank transfer. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue accounts in accordance with applicable law.

Any changes to the agreed works should be confirmed in writing and may affect the price and timescale. If you cancel after work has begun or materials have been ordered, your deposit may be non-refundable to the extent of costs already incurred.

We carry out all work with reasonable skill and care, in line with 26 years of experience across the building and decorative plastering trade. Materials may carry their own manufacturer warranties. Details of any workmanship guarantee will be confirmed with your quotation.

Harts Building & Decorative Walls holds public liability insurance with cover up to £5 million. Details are available on request.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any project is limited to the value of the works, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
